• It makes no change in volume but it creates the ability to utilize all the available storage volume in the medium sized car. Thus it creates more usable volume inside the car than would have existed had the elephant been whole. Obviously.

• You'll still need a large car. The volume of a skinny elephant is still larger than a medium sized car, even though it's chopped to pieces (which makes no change in volume)
