For the record, animals of different species can reproduce - they are called hybrids. Many of these hybrids are well known. The most notable of which is the mule. We define species as populations of animals that when they interbreed they produce FERTILE offspring. This is why mules are infertile. The existence of cross species hybrids is fairly common knowledge and information on this subject is readily available on the internet.

2 species can reproduce if they are genetically similar enough. an elephant and a giraffe cant reproduce.

for the record animals of different genus can reproduce but but if theyre any further off than that it wont work... so a giraffe cannot reproduce any hybrid animal with an elephant. so u r wrong sir 2 comments above me.
