There was a blonde, brunette and a red head on an island. The blond was on holiday, the brunette lived there and the red head was there on business, it was a very large and industrial island.

I like the bit about the holiday

The part about "it was a very large and industrial island" is unnecessary and wrecks the joke. You can end it before that and from the earlier context assume the last part without having to be told. Going on past that just ruins that.
